Definitions of terms and conditions
‘The Hirer/you’ refers jointly and severally to the person or persons who are named on the Booking Confirmation.
‘Us/we’ means Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD.
‘This Agreement’ means the Rental Agreement, the insurance Motor Rental Agreement and these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and any other literature, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall apply.
‘Customer’ means the person or persons nominated as the hirer under the heading ‘Hire details’ on the insurance motor Rental Agreement and any person whose credit card is presented in payment of the customer charges.
‘Rental Period’ means the dates and times set out in the Rental Agreement or any agreed variation thereof and any additional period during which the vehicle is in the Hirers possession or control.
‘Vehicle’ means the vehicle described under the heading ‘Vehicle Details’ in the Rental Agreement and includes tyres, tools, accessories, the equipment and any other special equipment, documents related to the Vehicle and any replacement or substitute Vehicle that may be provided at the discretion of Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD.
‘Deposit’ means the Vehicle security deposit detailed under the heading ‘Vehicle Security Deposit’ in the Rental Agreement.
Payments
A non-refundable deposit of £99 is required at the point of booking to secure the dates with the balance due 7 days prior to the hire start date. Payments can be made using bank transfer. All prices are shown in GBP.
Payment of charges/Fines and Liability
All charges and expenses payable by the Hirer under this Agreement are due on demand by Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD. If the Hirer does not pay all charges when due a 5% late charge will be applied per month on the outstanding balance and any collection costs incurred by Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD, including reasonable legal fees. Where the Hirer comprises of more than one person, each person is liable jointly and severally for all obligations of the customer pursuant to this agreement.
Collection/Return
You acknowledge and agree that the vehicle hired to you is in a roadworthy and full operating condition with no damage, mechanical or otherwise unless stated on the issued condition diagram. You also acknowledge that the condition diagram accurately reflects the condition of the vehicle.
Please ensure that you leave plenty of time for your return journey, including unpacking the vehicle. The vehicle is to be returned with all your personal belongings removed by the time stated on your booking confirmation, as we hope you can appreciate that any delays have a knock-on effect.
A strict £50/hour penalty will be charged for returning the vehicle late, without prior agreement. If Rolling Homes Camper Hire grants an extension of the vehicle hire this must be paid for in full immediately by bank transfer. Rolling Homes Camper Hire will then send you a new Rental Agreement detailing an extension. Failure to obtain an authorised extension will result in a lapse of insurance cover and you will be deemed liable, plus additional late fees for unauthorised use. Should the vehicle not be returned by the time and date on the Rental Agreement, it may be treated as stolen and reported to the police.
Unforeseen cancellation by us
In the unfortunate event that we do not have a vehicle available for hire due to theft, breakdown or the vehicle has been damaged and undrivable we will fully refund all monies paid but will not be held liable for any other missed functions, costs or losses.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of £500 will be taken prior to collection. This must be paid by the Hirer via bank transfer (which must be cleared on the day of collection) Cash is not acceptable.
The security deposit will be released/refunded within 7 working days of the end of the hire period providing the terms and conditions of the hire are met, subject to final audit/vehicle inspection.
Should any loss exceed the security deposit the Hirer will be responsible in settling the additional costs, similarly if any damages do not exceed the security deposit Rolling Homes Camper Hire will only charge for the necessary amount
Insurance
Our vehicles are supplied to you with fully comprehensive insurance. Should an insurance claim be made by us or a third party, we will use the Hirers security deposit to cover the excess. If the incident involves a third party and it is proven at a later date by the insurers that the Hirer is at fault, the Hirer will be fully liable and Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD reserves the right to charge the Hirer up the value of the security deposit. Any insurance cover or waiver is automatically void should any of the following scenarios occur:
- The driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol;
- The vehicle is driven off-road, or driven without care and attention;
- The vehicle is carrying more than 4 passengers, this excludes the driver;
- Any damage caused by an unauthorised third party towing the vehicle away;
- The vehicle has not been adequately locked or secured;
- Any of the terms and conditions in this Rental Agreement have been breached.
In the event the Hirer will be held fully liable for all costs up to the full amount of the vehicle for any damages or losses which may exceed your security deposit.
Use of Vehicle
The Hirer agrees that during the hire period will not allow the Vehicle to be:
- Driven otherwise than in a cautious, prudent and normal manner;
- Used in a manner which could cause damage;
- Driven in a prohibited area or in an area other than the areas indicated to me by Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD;
- Driven by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with a blood alcohol level in excess of that permitted by law;
- Left with the ignition key in the vehicle while it is unoccupied;
- Left unoccupied without the steering wheel security lock applied and valuables concealed;
- Driven by persons:
- Under the age of 25 years; or who is not authorised by law to drive the vehicle. Particulars of a proposed licenced driver of the vehicle are set out under the heading ‘driver details’ in the motor Rental Agreement;
- Damaged by:
- Submersion in water;
- Contact with salt water;
- Used for any illegal purpose for any race, rally or contest;
- Used to tow any vehicle or trailer;
- Used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward;
- Used to carry more persons than is permitted by any relevant authority or detailed in the vehicle manual or on the vehicle or specified in this agreement;
- Used to carry goods of an explosive, dangerous or hazardous nature.
- Used for stag or hen parties;
- Used for smoking against non smoking policy
- Otherwise used in breach of my obligations under this agreement.
Breakdown

In the event the vehicle is undrivable and cannot be fixed at the roadside or a reasonable amount of time, you will be taken back to the camp or recovered back to us. We will attempt to provide you with a replacement vehicle, however, should this not be possible, Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD will reimburse the hire cost for the days lost. Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD will not be held liable for any other missed functions or losses. We recommend that you check you travel/holiday insurance to make sure all eventualities are covered.
Accidents/incidents
In the event of any accident, loss or damage arising out of the use of the vehicle, the hirer will notify Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD immediately.
- You will notify Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD within 24\hrs of the event;
- Obtain the vehicle registration number, names and addresses of third parties and any witnesses;
- The number of passengers in each vehicle;
- The name and address of anyone who is injured (or suggesting they have been injured);
- The name, number and constabulary of any police officer who attend the accident;
- If you are able to do so, take photographs to support the positions of the vehicles and the extent of the damage. You must give your own details to anyone who has reasonable grounds for requesting them;
- Do not admit responsibility, either verbally or in writing. Please provide your details along with our policy number to the other driver/s or person/s involved in the accident and ask them to call the claims advisor;
- If for any reason you have not been able to exchange details with the other drivers or owners of property, or you were in a collision with an animal, you must report the accident to the police as soon as possible and certainly within 24 hours of the incident;
- The Hirer is to complete a European accident report form as relevant, not make any admission of liability to other parties, settlement offer or other like offer;
- The Hirer undertakes to assist Rolling Homes Camper Hire LTD in handling the claim arising from any event, including providing all relevant information and attending Court to give evidence;
- The Hirer acknowledges that the excess or other amount due in respect of any damage arising from an accident, loss or damage is payable at the time of reporting the event and not at the completion of the hire period;
- The Hirer will pay for any costs relating to the delivery of a change over vehicle as a result of an accident regardless of which party is at fault.
Damage to Vehicle
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as at the time and date of the start of the hire period. The Hirer will be fully liable for all damages, which may exceed your security deposit. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that signed condition diagram accurately represents the condition of the vehicle. Damages and losses include but are not limited to:
- Any scratch, scuff, chip or dent on the vehicle bodywork;
- Any scratch, scuff or chip on the alloy wheels;
- Any tyre damage including punctures;
- Window and windscreen damage;
- Any damage to the pop top roof or its operation;
- Damage caused by insufficient engine oil;
- Damage caused by insufficient engine coolant levels;
- Damage caused to fitted unit and doors through negligence;
- Damage caused to seats, interior or floor through negligence.
Pets
We welcome pets. Pets must be disclosed at the point of booking and only pets that we confirm are acceptable may be brought into the vehicle. A suitable seat cover must be used to prevent damage.
All damage, however caused by your pet, will be charged to you. You undertake to comply with current law concerning the carriage of animals when travelling in the vehicle at all times. Pets must never be left alone or unsupervised in the vehicle.
Smoking
The Hirer will not allow anyone to smoke in the vehicle as Rolling Homes Camper Hire has a no smoking policy. A valeting charge of £250 will be incurred by the Hirer if this policy is ignored.
Fuel Policy
All our vehicles are diesel and must be returned with the same amount of fuel as it was hired out to you, which will be noted on the Rental Agreement. An administration fee of £50 plus the cost of refuelling will be applied if necessary.
