    The Process

    Browse our campervan range using the ‘Campers’ heading at the top of the web page. Here you will find full details and the specifications of what we have to offer for hire. Once you’ve found your ideal van, click on it and you will be ready to move onto the next step of the process.

    There are two easy ways to pick your dates and check availability. Firstly, you can pick the campervan (as detailed above) and a booking calendar will be visible. You will then be able to select the dates for hire. Alternatively, you can jump straight to our homepage and search all our available dates by using the calendar. 

    Each campervan shows a ‘live’ availability calendar for the year. If your dates are available, we suggest you book sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. If the dates you have selected are not available, then we advise you to check another campervan for availability. Keep an eye on our website for special offers and short notice deals throughout the year.

    Once you have selected your preferred campervan and hire dates you will see a breakdown of costs. You can then browse, select and add any of the additional optional extras we have to offer (ie; Bike hire, cycle rack, awning etc). You must then provide your full contact details on the booking form and click ‘place order’. This will provisionally reserve your booking pending payment of the deposit (See details below).

    A member of our team will contact you directly to confirm your details and if you wish to add anything or ask any questions that are not answered on our website; please feel free to do so, our friendly staff are there to help. 

    As detailed above, please wait for a member of our team to contact you, this will be within 24 hours of you placing your order. Our team will run through a Driving Licence check to ensure eligibility for insurance purposes. If you are happy to proceed, we will take a £99 deposit to secure your booking. Once a deposit has been paid, you will be supplied with a booking confirmation and you can start to look forward to your trip.

    Collections and Returns

    All collections are made from our premises based in Nottingham. You will receive a booking confirmation at the point of booking our camper hire with the address and directions to follow ahead of your collection date. 

    We allow for both AM and PM collection/return time slots for all our camper hire. In general, the time you collect will be the time you return (ie collect at 09.00hrs, return at 09.00hrs).

    We ask that collections and returns are made between the following time slots: Please see below.

    AM collection/return 09.00hrs to 11.00hrs

    PM collection/return 14.00hrs to 16.00hrs

    If you do require a specific time for collection/return which is outside of these hours, please let us know as we aim to accommodate any special requests where possible. 

    We can offer a later check out service. This would allow for an AM collection, and PM return if required. (ie collect at 09.00hrs, return at 16.00hrs).

    Booking Deposit

    A non-refundable deposit of £99 is required at the point of booking to secure the dates with the full balance due 7 days prior to the hire start date. Payments can be made using bank transfer. All prices are shown in GBP.

    Security Deposit

    A security deposit of £500 will also be taken on the day of collection. This must be paid by the Hirer via bank transfer (which must be cleared on the day of collection) cash is not acceptable.

    The security deposit will be released/refunded within 7 working days of the end of the hire period providing the terms and conditions of the hire have been met, subject to a final audit/vehicle inspection. The deposit is paid directly back into your account.

    Should any loss be incurred and exceed the security deposit, the Hirer will be responsible in settling the additional costs, similarly if any damages incurred do not exceed the security deposit (ie; damage of £100) Rolling Homes Camper Hire will only charge for the necessary amount and the deposit deducted accordingly (ie; refund of £400 as an example). ***Please also see insurance terms and conditions for all costs covered in the event of a claim***.

    Driver Requirements

    The insurance policy (included in the hire fee) covers the insured vehicle whilst let out on hire, subject to the following terms & conditions:

    1. The insured shall verify the identity and permanent address of the hirer and any other permitted driver by means other than relying solely on the information contained in the hirers or drivers driving licence and that such person is not amongst the excluded persons enumerated below.
    1. Two forms of ID shall be obtained for every driver. The following documentation is acceptable proof of address alongside one utility bill/statement.
      • Electricity bill / statement
      • Water bill / statement
      • Gas bill / statement
      • Broadband / Landline
      • Council tax
      • TV license
      • Bank statement
      • Credit card bill / statement
      • Mortgage statement
      • Polling card
      • HMRC self-assessment / tax credit

    1. The proof of address provided must be dated within 90 days of hire date and have the same address as appearing on the driving licence.
    1. Copies, both front and back of the driving licence must be retained either digitally or a hard copy and for licences issued from mainland UK the DVLA online license check must be carried out and a copy retained either digitally or a hard copy.
    1. The insured vehicle shall not be let out on hire or be driven by:
    1. Hirers under 25 or over 79 years of age
    2. Hirers aged 21 to 22 unless a full valid licence United Kingdom or EU driving licence has been held for 2 years and prior authority has been given by the insurers.
    3. Hirers who have not held a full valid United Kingdom or EU driving licence for 2 years.
    4. Persons who have been convicted of an offence in connection with the driving of a motor vehicle or motorcycle and/or have had their driving licence endorsed or suspended or more than 6 penalty points imposed. “Spent” convictions, covered by the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 may be disregarded.
    5. Persons who have had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of claims experience and/or have had their insurance or cover cancelled by any motor insurer.
    6. Persons engaged wholly or partly in professional entertainment or professional sports persons.
    7. Jockeys and persons connected with racing, gaming industry or press of any sort.
    8. Persons who, whilst driving, have been involved in more than one fault accident during the past 3 years.
    9. Foreign service personnel other than persons holding a full UK/EU licence for 2 years or more.
